RYA YACHTMASTER OCEAN THEORY
The RYA Yachtmaster Ocean is a 6 day intensive course on celestial navigation and ocean passage making and is designed to turn the RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Offshore holder into a globally-capable skipper. Following the course candidates are required to complete a 600nm ocean passage and submit their sights and workings to the RYA for issue of their licence.
Qualification:

The successful candidate will receive:

  • RYA Yachtmaster Ocean Shorebased Certificate

  • Mahurangi Technical Institute Certificate of Study

Duration:
6 days.
Class Size:
Maximum of 15.
Entry Requirement:
Candidates should have a sound knowledge of coastal and offshore navigation and sailing, and ideally hold an RYA Yachtmaster Offshore certificate.
