RYA/CBES DAY SKIPPER PRACTICAL - MOTORCRUISING

The Day Skipper practical course aims to teach pilotage, navigation, seamanship and boat handling up to a standard required to skipper a motor cruiser safely by day in familiar waters.  The award of the Day Skipper certificate is based on your skills throughout the week and is made by the insructor on board.  Students also undertake night pilotage exercises.

Class Size:
Class sizes are kept at a level to maintain a 5:1 student/instructor ratio.
Entry Requirement:
Candidates should have the minimum of 2 days at sea and a basic knowledge of navigation and seamanship, or ideally hold a CBES Boatmaster certificate or RYA Day Skipper shorebased certificate.

Accreditation:

This course is accredited with the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) of Southampton, UK who will issue the Certificate of Competency.
