MARINE TECHNOLOGY (level 4)

Completion of this course will give you the skills, experience and qualifications required to efficiently progress in the field of marine technology. Training is conducted in our well appointed classrooms. Instruction on a wide range of topics will be undertaken in a friendly, informative atmosphere. Subjects covered range from aquaculture, bivalve and marine biology, maritime navigation, mechanical engineering to marine hazard and emergency control. You will also conduct a reseach project throughout the year. On completion of the Certificate you will be a multi-skilled, adaptable and efficient candidate, ready and qualified for entry into this diverse industry and environment. |

| Practical Training |
| Hands on experience is included in the course curriculum. This not only prepares you for life in the industry, but also gives you valuable industry experience which cannot be attained in text books. |

| 42 weeks (including 6 weeks (3x2) of term
holidays). Starts 11 February 2008 - 28 November 2008. |

| All candidates will be required to undergo a selection process. Preferred age is 18 years +, though 16 / 17 year olds will be considered on application. |
