The Ministry of Agriculture
and Forestry requires that every Transitional
Facility that unpacks imported sea containers must be approved and
must have a Trained Accredited Person checking for contamination (as
required by the BioSecurity Act 1993).
Mahurangi Technical Institute is an
approved Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry training provider, and delivers training to accredit
people for the checking of sea containers.
