It consists of comprehensive package of a 7 day theory and intensive 5 day practical afloat training and includes STCW Basic Training. The 6 week package also includes an additional 5 days of practical sea time plus a 5 day radar course.
Qualification:
The successful candidate will receive:
- RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Shorebased Certificate
- STCW Competence in Fire-Fighting and Fire Prevention Certificate
- STCW Competence in Personal Survival Techniques Certificate
- STCW Competence in Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities Certificate
- STCW Competence in Elementary First Aid
- MNZ Certificate of STCW95 Basic Training
- Maritime Restricted (Radio) Operator's Certificate
- Restricted Radar Observer's Certificate (for the 6 week course only)
- RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of Competency. Issued to successful candidates by the RYA of Southampton, UK.

Entry Requirement:Candidates must be aged 18 or over. Candidates must have logged 50 days on board a yacht at sea as an active member of the crew and a minimum of 2500 nautical miles, logged. To gain the RYA Certificate candidates must:

Accreditation:This course is accredited with the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) of Southampton, UK who will issue the Certificate of Competency. |
