Transport Options
Mahurangi Technical Institute offers a daily pick up and return bus service from Silverdale, Red Beach and Orewa. Many students bus, drive or car pool to pick up locations then catch the bus. The bus ride takes approximately 20 minutes. Pick up times are around 8.20am. The bus leaves the Technical Institute at 3pm, dropping you at your stop around 3.30pm each afternoon.

Car pooling with other students travelling from the same area is also possible. There are a number of options available, dependent on your course and your needs, so please discuss these with us so we can work out the appropriate package for you.

Mahurangi Technical Institute can also arrange for you to be picked up or dropped off at the airport, at a cost of $60.00 one way or $120.00 for a return trip (to be paid in advance).  2 weeks' notice of transfer requirements is necessary.

Please note that there is no public transport available in Warkworth or adjoining areas.
