RYA/MCA Coastal Skipper - Sail
Enables you to skipper a vessel up to 24 metres and 60 nautical miles from a safe haven.  The 6 week course starts with radar and a 5-day milebuilder at sea, followed by the 4 week course of navigation theory, practical sail training and STCW95.


RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Offshore - Sail
Open to those with good practical and skippering experience.  Successful candidates are qualified to skipper a vessel up to 24 metres and 150 nautical miles offshore.


RYA Yachtmaster Ocean Theory
A 6-day celestial navigation course for Yachtmaster Offshores wishing to obtain the Yachtmaster Ocean qualification.  Course content includes use of sextant and reduction of sights and compass correction by celestial body.


RYA/MCA Coastal Skipper - Motorcruising
4 week course includes - STCW95, navigation theory and 4 days practical training on a motorcruiser plus 1 day practical exam.  For candidates wishing to enhance their skippering skills and coastal navigation.


RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Offshore - Motorcruising
Run in conjunction with the Coastal Skipper course.  Candidates' skippering and navigational skills are expected to be at a much higher level.  4 days practical with a high level of practical and theoretical tuition involved.

Computing Skills (level 3)
A 12 week, full time certificate course covering 'need to know' computing skills required for the new millennium.


Bar Manager Licence / License Controller Qualification
The 'Sale of Liquor Act' - A pre-requisite for those wanting to gain their Bar Managers licence. Forms part of the Licence Controller Qualification.
Evening and day classes.


Safe Food Handling
Covers unit standards 167 and 168 - a requirement by most Councils when working in the food industry.
 

Boatmaster Certificate
For the recreational boatie with a conscience. Evening classes - 3 hours per night for 10 nights (+ exam).
 

CBES/RYA Power Boat Level 2
Basic powerboat handling and seamanship skills.
 

CBES/RYA Competent Crew
Beginner's course for those wishing to enter the RYA sail training scheme.

A short course designed to teach pilotage, navigation, seamanship and boathandling for small motor cruisers.
 

Electric Fishing Certificate
3 day course covering all aspects of electric fishing operations. Includes use of backpack and main set equipment and their safety aspects, plus species identification.



First Aid Course
2 day, NZQA accredited basic First Aid Course.

Biosecurity Course
Course designed to provide the necessary accreditation for checking imported sea containers for contamination (as required by the Biosecurity Act 1993).

Transition process for Upgrading to the 'LICENCE CONTROLLER QUALIFICATION'
