RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Coastal – Motor
This Certificate of Competency allows the holder to skipper yachts up to 24m in length and to be Chief Mate on vessels of up to 500 tonnes within 60 miles of a safe haven overseas. It consists of a seven day classroom session, an intensive four day practical period aboard a motorboat (plus a one day practical exam), together with the STCW Basic Training course.
Qualification:
The successful candidate will receive:

-STCW Competence in Fire-fighting and Fire Prevention Certificate
-STCW Personal Survival Techniques Certificate
-STCW Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities Certificate
-STCW Competence in Elementary First Aid
-MNZ Certificate of STCW Basic Training
-Maritime Restricted (Radio) Operator’s Certificate
-RYA/MCA Coastal Skipper/Power Endorsement Certificate of Competency. Issued to successful candidates by the RYA of Southampton, UK.
