STCW Crowd Management
Before being assigned ship board duties, all people who are employed or engaged on a seagoing vessel need to have approved training in – personnel designated to assist passengers in emergencies.
This course consists of tuition in the classroom with role playing scenarios. Not only preparing students for life in the industry, but also giving the student valuable experience which cannot be attained from text books alone.
The aim of this module is for the individual to understand crowd behaviour in an emergency; emergency procedures; use emergency equipment; demonstrate leadership and implement key strategies for crowd management. In this short course you will learn to:
-Control a crowd in an emergency situation onboard
-Locate essential safety equipment onboard
-Communicate effectively with passengers in an emergency
-Demonstrate the use of personal life saving devices
-Comply with ships safety and emergency procedures
Successful applicants will receive on completion:
STCW Certificate in Crowd Management and Passenger Safety

18 years + preferred, though 16/17 years old will be considered on application.
