The course is aimed at all food handlers, providing you with an understanding of safe food handling.
The course details the causes, and prevention of, causes of food poisoning, facts about bacteria and their growth requirements, temperature control, personal hygiene, storage and cleaning requirements, safe food handling, written assessment – MTI certificate issued on successful completion of course, one re-sit of assessment allowed.
Successful completion of this course allows you to understand the essential food safety principles for ensuring food is safe to eat. This programme covers the knowledge requirements and satisfies the training for most local councils regarding food safety training for the workplace.

Entry Requirement:
Participants must be able to demonstrate competence in written English to successfully complete the assessment for this course.
NOTE: You must supply a verified copy of your NZ birth certificate or a valid passport at the time of enrolment.
